Anne Besgrove isn’t only just one of the longest serving Sales Agents of First National Murwillumbah, she is also a keen marathon runner, having run numerous ultramarathons and in doing so, she has raised money for various charities, including Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery, supporting Australians during the 2019/2020 bushfire crisis.

Ultramarathons are endurance races that exceed the traditional marathon distance of 42 kilometres. Anne has participated in ultramarathons such as the Big Red Run, 250 kilometres over 6 days, Larapinta Trail Run, 160 kilometres over 4 days and the Delirious W.E.S.T., running a staggering 352 kilometres. Each of these races tests the endurance of the runners, who are challenged to persevere over harsh Australian distances.

Anne says that at times during her ultramarathons , she often feels totally overwhelmed by the difficulty to keep on running and complete the race, but is inspired to keep going, in true Aussie Spirit, to assist one another in a time of need, whichever way we can.

Everyone at First National Real Estate Murwillumbah is proud of the effort Anne outs into her marathon efforts!
